I had the day off today. I told my mom I am coming over. Then she said, ok well I will make a little lunch for us. Then we said, lets see if the other girls can come over. Santa Came!
This year we did not have a blizzard blackout like last year. We opened gifts at about 5:30am. We had a great Christmas and everyone got tons of stuff they wanted. It is tradition to set the breakfast table Christmas Eve. I love my Christmas dishes I received a few years ago. I only get to use them in December. I have always loved to set a nice table. I always volunteered to set the table as a kid on Christmas Eve. It became a tradition that I always set it. I remember walking around the house finding decorations to make my table fabulous.
Santa brought Clover a much needed new car seat. This picture is taken in the middle of the night (well 11pm). Clover woke up and she was wide awake. We got her up, gave her a drink and brought her out to look at her new seat. It was a nice little moment between Clover and her parents. (everyone else was knocked out).

Christmas Eve
Christmas stockings hung waiting for Santa. I made all of these stockings through out the years.
Christmas Eve dinner was our big dinner. Mason cooked prime rib, while I made the mashed potatos, asperagus, bread, fruit salad, and sparkling cider. After dinner we all helped clean the kitchen (Santa doesn't come to a dirty house), then we had a really nice Christmas lesson. I wrapped up our nativity with wrapping paper. We took turns reading the Christmas story in the scriptures. The kids got to unwrap each piece when we got to that part in the scriptures. The kids LOVED this and when we were done they said they loved it.

Zoo Lights for FHE
Last night for Family Home Evening we went to the zoo to see the zoo lights. Normally it cost about $8 per person, but I won 4 free tickets. The lights were really well done and beautiful. It was super cold, so after walking through the zoo we went and got cake and hot chocolate. While getting hot chocolate Clover pooped. I forgot her diaper bag. I had wipes in the car but no diaper. Clover is very sensitive and I knew she was burning. I grabbed some napkins, went out to the car, cleaned her up. She wore napkins in her onesie all the way home. When we got home the napkins were still dry! feeeewwwww!

New Calling
I am sure everyone know I have a huge new calling. I was called last month as Activities Chair Person. I got the pleasure of having the ward Christmas party dropped into my lap a few weeks out. I really had to scramble and get it planned. I had to call a new committee. So the big night arrived last night- my first huge event....Ward Christmas Dinner and Program. I took a few pictures before people arrived because a had the time. I really wanted to take a few with people there but I forgot and got to busy. The decorations and lights looked way better in person than in the pictures. It turned out very nice. The program was wonderful. I had the primary sing, YW sing, the ward sing, I had a fabulous soloist sing a Forgotten Carol, and I had two kids age 12 play piano solos, and someone play and sing O Holy Night with his guitar. I had lots of food left over. We had turkey dinner. All went well and smooth.

Time To Move On
Its been a long road... but I can say Clover is now weaned! It has been 4 days now with NO nursing. She is all sippy cups. For about a month I had her on sippys for the daytime. At first she fought it- she was so mad and threw a fit. I had to put cartoons on for her while I held her arms down and fed her the sippy (like a bottle). If I didn't hold her arms down she would throw it. After a week of this she got used to the fact that when she gets up she has a sippy and cartoons for a few minutes. I was not looking forward to giving up evening nursing and morning nursing. Clover loves to morning nurse. I bring her into my bed and she lays in between me and Mason, nurses, and a lot of times sleeps there for a while. It was a very comforting routine for her that she loved. Well 4 days ago I rocked her morning routine by pulling out the sippy cup. She THREW A FIT. But now she is used to it, and nursing is history. I'm doing ok too. I didn't get to sore. I feel a little sad, I really love nursing. But life moves on, time to move on.

Putting up the Tree
What's going through my mind is "Wow, my life has now become so much harder. Now I have just one more thing to pull Clover off of". Clover is the MOST IN TO EVERYTHING baby I have had yet!!!!! He is very stubborn, and when I tell her no, to her that means do it more. Today she was doing something that she KNEW she was not suppost to do. She looked at me, then said "NO-NO". naughty....
Watching The Big Game
Watching the BYU-Utah game was a big deal in our house. We at pizza and nachos. When BYU won we grabbed our pots and spoons and celebrated outside for a bit. It was a great game. Here is a shot of Connor and Clover hanging out watching the game-even Clover is watching it!!!! She's our little cougar.
