ALMOST

Clover is now 8 months old. Both Shelby and Connor were 8 months old when they crawled and it looks like Clover will also be. I am guessing in 2 weeks she will be crawling. I am not in a big rush, life will change so much once she is mobile, I enjoy just sitting with her and not having to chase her around.

Why is it that phones and remotes are the favorite thing to play with?

Days Of 47

We love to honor our pioneers! We also use this day to remember Zebedee Coltrin who is our family's (Coltrin family) ancestor. We remember him on this day, and talk about all that he did. He was a great man. It is almost starting to become tradition to go to This is the Place Park. We went with all the family. We had so much fun together. Mason had to work, that is why he is not in any of the pictures.
The cutest little mummy in town.

Connor said " look at the Hogans mom". I had no idea what he was talking about. When we get to these Indian homes they tell us they are called HOGONS. I look at Connor and said "how did you know that is what they were called? "I read it somewhere." "What?!!!"

My Birthday at Snowbird

Today I wanted to go up to the mountains and have a wonderful day with my family for my birthday. We went to Snowbird.

Riding the lift. Clover was getting so tired here and fell asleep after this shot.

Connor said "Mom, I just love how beautiful it is here. I love going to see nature."

We hiked a mile from the lift up to the huge tram.

There is still snow in places!

Shelby in the snow- so weird to be baking in the sun and heat and then be also standing in snow.

We had fun on the alpine slides, bull riding, zip-lines, bungy jumping, and riding the lifts and tram.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

We went to the open house for the temple today. It is a lovely temple. Yesterday the Angel Moroni was struck by lightening. The arm and trumpet are black.
This is the back side of the temple.

Play at the lake

Today I only had 1 daycare kid. The kids are out of school for summer, so we went to the Daybreak Lake with my sister and niece. It was a very hot day and the water was nice.
Clover in her shrunk'n hat, that shrunk last time we went swimming. I have another hat but it has no straps to go around her chin. Gotta have a hat with straps or she will yank it off.

Connor was here, but all you can see of him is a splash.

Trying New Things

Clover is 7 months old. I know it is about that time for crackers. That first time is very scary for me. She has been eating soft stuff like eggs and bread and cake and pancakes and does fine with it. But something like a cracker I had not tried yet. So today was the big day. I gave it to her and she didn't know what to do. I have not had her feed herself yet. I had to show her that she can put it in her mouth.
She got the hang of it very quickly, and ate the whole thing. No choking or anything, it was like she had done it forever.
