The Oakcrest Lake

Our school is called Oakcrest and they do NOT have a lake! We had so much rain one day- West Jordan got the most in the whole valley- about inch and half in 1 hour! Well this is what it did to our school playground!!!!! The water comes up to Shelby's knees!

School Play

The 6th graders have been working very hard on their play Macbeth. Shelby's part is the doctor.

Shelby With Her Trainer

Shelby goes a few times a week to a trainer at a orthopedic gym, which has some of the best training in the valley. They work on her running and sometimes when she goes it is all pitching that she works on. Here in this video they have her at a 35 percent incline.

Fun in the Sun

I was watching the news yesterday. They said that Utah has rained 18 out of the 22 days so far in June. We are so sick of the rain!!! Today was a nice break. It was about 80 outside. We went on a picnic today and after dinner we went to the pool. Clover loved the water.

Next summer I am going to teach Clover to swim. I taught Connor to swim at age 1.

Poor Jack the fish-poor Connor

Last night as I was laying in bed, Connor comes into my room. He has a look of pure sadness. I knew right away what had happened. One of Connor's fish was floating. I confirmed to Connor that the fish had died. Connor was so sad and was so upset. Connor is a very sensitive boy. He cries every time at ET and at the movie I am Legend when the dog dies. If he even thinks for one second that he may have hurt Clover he cries and cries. We buried Jack the fish in the garden last night. Connor dug the hole and he put the fish in. Connor put some flowers on top of the grave. This morning, Connor had tears in his eyes again as he walked out the door for school.

Shelby Off to Softball Camp

With her new roommate- they are the same age (both turn 12 this fall). Shelby is so excited, because all her friends that she made last year came back this year.
