FORGOTTEN IRIS
Purple Iris in the morning,
are there roses in the garden?
Ruby noses in the air,
purple Iris still forgotten.
Sweetened fragrance, red perfumed,
tease and taunt on dancing toes.
Lacy petals soft and violet,
bow their heads to sigh their woes.
