Birthday Video

She's 2 Now

Clover Ann Coltrin...our Thanksgiving baby. I had to get her a "fall" cake that is so fitting.
Normally she loves pizza. She is excited for the pizza to come out of the oven. But she was in a mood not to eat anything....but cake!

Clover is deep in thought, pondering where the years went.

That cute little "scrunch the daddy nose"

DIG IN CLOVER....IT'S TIME TO EAT YOUR CAKE FOR DINNER (for Petes sake) and she ate it all of course!
Clover Ann, so very thankful for her. No one will really realize how much I adore her. How much she makes my life complete. How much happiness she brings to my life. I love her so much it's scary. I guess the constant crying and yearning for her for years, made my bond with her unusual. When I brought her home from the hospital, it hit me that I really got her. I remember just holding her and weeping for joy. I have never gotten over that joy. I look at her everyday with so much gratitude. I wonder if she will ever really "know" how I feel about her. Perhaps to some degree when she has her own.

stuck, stuck, STUCK!

We got 14 inches of snow dumped on us last night. If you click on this picture you can read the height of snow measured.
There is just no way we were able to make our way all the way to the church today in 14 inches of snow. Our church is pretty far away, just no way we were going to head out in this stuff. But Clover and Connor (buddies), wanted to play in the first BIG snow. They headed out to the back yard. I don't have snow pants for Clover so I layered her pants and put on leg warmers over her pants. The snow is so deep that of course Clover was up to her waist.

stuck, stuck STUCK! She couldn't move.

Bubba (that is what Clover calls Connor) helped her to another area that was packed down for her.

Feel'n It

I have been having a hard time getting used to the idea that Christmas is fast approaching. I think it's kinda depressing that I thought I would be in a new house for Christmas. But I know things don't always go how we want them to, and I know the Lord has his reasons. Yesterday I went to my sister's Super Saturday and made a few fun crafts. One of those was the Christmas count down blocks. I have always pulled out my Christmas decor before Thanksgiving. Today I felt like I was getting into the spirit of Christmas. I went to Thai Pan Trading and bought some Christmas greenery and flowers and made this centerpiece in the sleigh. I think it turned out great. It looks so much better in person, the picture does no justice. I only decorated my kitchen and dinning area with Christmas. This is a little corner with my bakers rack.

I thought I would show my tile I made at Super Saturday. I love it and turned out cute. It is a large tile with vinyl lettering.

Take A Seat

A couple months ago Mason and I ordered this beautiful wood Nantucket table and chairs set for Clover. I have always wanted one. Mason is always receiving award bonuses from work. They gave him one and it was in the form of a gift card to use online at several different stores. So Mason called me in and asked what do I want. I said I have always wanted a children's wood table and chairs. Done...bought! The box came and sat in our garage for a few months. Yesterday I pulled it out and decided to "TRY" to put it together. It was in so many pieces. I had to put each chair together, and when I was done I had felt like I just passed a geometry test. My back ached from sitting on the floor so long, putting it together. But in the end I got it done and it's looks so cute in Clover's room.

In Honor of H.P.

In honor of the awesome Harry Potter books and movies, for the month of November I am using this awesome background for my blog. I love the Harry Potter books and I have enjoyed so much the movies. I am so very excited for the final movie showing in a couple weeks. It will be kinda sad when the last movie ends, and it's finally over.

Trunk or Treat

Even tho I got released from my big calling as Activities Director- I am still on the committee until we move. This activity and the Christmas activity are still the activities that I planned for this year. It was a huge turn out. LOTS of people passed out candy and all the kids had tons in their bags. We had a ice cream social in the gym after and it was loads of fun. Clover was getting used to the whole getting candy thing. By the end- she was getting very brave and knew what to do.

Shelby helping pass out candy at our car.

There was even a ride for the kids. We had a train station set up with crossing lights and the railroad arms that go down. We had tickets, and the kids got a ticket and waited in line at the railroad crossing to board the ride.

Snow Baby

Today Clover got to go outside and play in the snow for the first time. Last year she was too small to go out and play in the snow. She hated it and didn't understand it. But this year she was so excited with it. I bought her some cute boots, hat, mittens and coat and she was ready to go out and play in the snow. SHE LOVED IT!!!!!! She didn't want to come in.

Cute little boots

Here she is eating it.

Dinner with Great Grandparents

My grandparents drove from Michigan to Utah last week. We had a big family dinner. As you can see we are missing in this photo all the husbands. Camilla's was taking the photo, Mason was on his way home from the airport, and Charlotte's had to work. Everyone else is there.

My kids with their great grandparents LUTZ.
I love my grandma and grandpa Lutz. We lived next to them when I grew up as a child in MI. I have special memories of them. My grandparents were there in my day to day life. That is something most kids do get to have. It was wonderful. Memories of my grandpa working in his cherry orchard. Or my grandma, pulling weeds in her garden in her swimsuit. Walking next door to get popsicles on a hot summer day, hearing my grandpa whistle as he walked, or hopping on the back of my grandpa's red truck as he was driving up the long dirt driveway. I have a thousand wonderful little bits of memory like that of them.
All the cousins.
